America Is the Rogue Nation

by Charley Reese | AntiWar.com

One gets the impression that there are some people in Washington who believe that Israel or the U.S. can bomb Iran's nuclear reactors, fly home, and it will be mission complete.

It makes you wonder if perhaps there is a virus going around that is gradually making people stupid. If we or Israel attack Iran, we will have a new war on our hands. The Iranians are not going to shrug off an attack and say, "You naughty boys, you."

State-Sponsored Terror: British and American Black Ops in Iraq

By Andrew G. Marshall | Global Research

Shining Light on the "Black World"

In January of 2002, the Washington Post ran a story detailing a CIA plan put forward to President Bush shortly after 9/11 by CIA Director George Tenet titled, "Worldwide Attack Matrix," which was "outlining a clandestine anti-terror campaign in 80 countries around the world. What he was ready to propose represented a striking and risky departure for U.S. policy and would give the CIA the broadest and most lethal authority in its history." The plan entailed CIA and Special Forces "covert operations across the globe," and at "the heart of the proposal was a recommendation that the president give the CIA what Tenet labeled "exceptional authorities" to attack and destroy al Qaeda in Afghanistan and the rest of the world." Tenet cited the need for such authority "to allow the agency to operate without restraint -- and he wanted encouragement from the president to take risks." Among the many authorities recommended was the use of "deadly force."

Somalia (Human Rights)

By George Galloway | ICH

A Government ready to rely on those friends of liberty, the Democratic Unionist party, to shred the liberties of our own people are almost by definition unembarrassable, but I hope this evening to add to the issues ventilated in a recent Channel 4 "Dispatches" programme to adumbrate the extent to which the tragedy in Somalia, which so many people are now becoming aware of, is another of our Government's dirty little secrets.

Warlords Next Door?
Channel 4 Video Documentary

ICH

Dispatches reveals how key politicians at the heart of the vicious fighting in Somalia - described as the world's worst humanitarian crisis - enjoy incredibly close links to Britain. They have British or EU passports, their families live here and they commute between Somalia and homes in English cities. British taxpayers are financing them in the name of democracy - yet in Somalia they are linked to allegations of mass murder, torture, extortion and corruption.

"This Advice Mr , Bush Shut The Hell Up"

Special Comment

By Keith Olbermann

Anchor, 'Countdown' - MSNBC

The war in Iraq, your war, Mr. Bush, is about how you accomplished the derangement of two nations, and how you helped funnel billions of taxpayer dollars to lascivious and perennially thirsty corporations like Halliburton and Blackwater, and how you sent 4,000 Americans to their deaths for nothing.

Rumsfeld: "Why Not another 911"

by Larry Chin | Global Research

In a newly-released tape of a 2006 neocon luncheon meeting featuring former War Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, attended by ex-military "message force multiplier" propaganda shills Lt. General Michael DeLong, David L. Grange, Donald W. Sheppard, James Marks, Rick Francona, Wayne Downing, Robert H. Scales and others, Rumsfeld declared that the American people lack "the maturity to recognize the seriousness of the ‘threats’" -- and need another 9/11.

Military or Market-Driven Empire Building: 1950-2008

by Prof. James Petras | Global Research

Introduction

From the middle of the 19th century but especially after the Second World War, two models of empire building competed on a world scale: One predominantly based on military conquests, involving direct invasions, proxy invading armies and subsidized separatist military forces; and the other predominantly based on large-scale, long-term economic penetration via a combination of investments, loans, credits and trade in which ‘market’ power and the superiority (greater productivity) in the means of production led to the construction of a virtual empire.

Bush's Capital Crimes

The Existentialist Cowboy Blog

I have yet to see a complete list of Bush's crimes. Here are just a few main categories in which Bush has outdone Nero.
    Election Theft

Bush's campaign financed the felonious physical assault of vote re-counters in Florida, even as the State Supreme Court has ruled in favor of Al Gore who had sought the recount, a recount upheld by the Florida Supreme Court. Though, this state issue was resolved legally by the Florida Supreme Court, SCOTUS would later hand down a bogus decision for which there is no precedent or basis in law.

Scalia's rationalization is pure political bunkum and has nothing do with law. Certainly, there was no compelling reason for the US Supreme Court to even hear the case! Scalia said that 'continuing' the recount would be harmful to Bush. Duh! In a Democracy the one getting the fewer number of votes is SUPPOSED to lose! Scalia is not only a criminal, he's an idiot and an arrogant asshole! All his statements concerning Bush v Gore are those of an idiot pretending to be a great intellect.

    Bush Goes Rogue

In office, Bush imperiously repudiated America's treaty obligations and international commitments, most notably the Kyoto accords on global warming. An aide to my GOP Congressman told me that the US is not obliged by the treaties it signs!

Bush covered up the crime of 911, destroying evidence as he interfered with and obstruction investigations. He opposed the creation of the 911 Commission and interfered with it after its creations. The result: an incomplete, disingenuous, and irrelevant 'tome' disowned by the co-chairs of the committee that wasted tax payer dollars coughing it up! Pure propaganda designed to deflect suspicion of the Bush administration complicity and cover up of 911!

Was 10:45 a.m. the Originally Planned Demolition Time of WTC 7?

By Shoestring | 911Blogger.com

At 11:07 a.m. in the morning of September 11, 2001, a CNN correspondent in New York reported that a third tower had possibly collapsed. While this report was incorrect, it is interesting to note that the reporter's description could have applied to World Trade Center Building 7. This huge skyscraper was indeed the third tower to collapse on 9/11. However it did not come down until late in the afternoon, more than six hours after this report.

CNN correspondent Allan Dodds Frank reported by phone from Lower Manhattan. He described: "[J]ust two or three minutes ago there was yet another collapse or explosion. I'm now out of sight, a Good Samaritan has taken me in on Duane Street. But at a quarter to 11, there was another collapse or explosion following the 10:30 collapse of the second tower. And a firefighter who rushed by us estimated that 50 stories went down. The street filled with smoke. It was like a forest fire roaring down a canyon." [1]

WTC 7 was a 47-story tower, so would have fitted the description of the estimated "50 stories" described by Frank. And it did indeed collapse completely. One could in fact accurately describe its demise with Frank's words: "The street filled with smoke. It was like a forest fire roaring down a canyon." However, this collapse did not happen until 5:20 that afternoon.

What could have led Frank to make his incorrect report?

‘Western Leaders Are War Criminals’

By Mick Meaney | RINF

The former Prime Minister of Malaysia, Mahathir Mohamad, has echoed calls for Western leaders to be charged with war crimes over the invasion of Iraq.

Speaking at Imperial College in London Mahathir, who was in office from 1981 to 2003, singled out US President George Bush, former British Prime Minister Tony Blair and Australia’s former prime minister John Howard as he wants to see them tried “in absence for war crimes committed in Iraq”.

Financial Collapse will End the Occupation:
And it won't be "A time of our choosing"

By Mike Whitney | InformationClearingHouse

“Come and see our overflowing morgues and find our little ones for us...
You may find them in this corner or the other, a little hand poking out, pointing out at you...
Come and search for them in the rubble of your "surgical" air raids, you may find a little leg or a little head...pleading for your attention.
Come and see them amassed in the garbage dumps, scavenging morsels of food...
Come and see, come..."
"Flying Kites” Layla Anwar

The US Military has won every battle it has fought in Iraq, but it has lost the war. Wars are won politically, not militarily. Bush doesn't understand this. He still clings to the belief that a political settlement can be imposed through force. But he is mistaken. The use of overwhelming force has only spread the violence and added to the political instability. Now Iraq is ungovernable. Was that the objective? Miles of concrete blast-walls snake through Baghdad to separate the warring parties; the country is fragmented into a hundred smaller pieces each ruled by local militia commanders. These are the signs of failure not success. That's why the American people no longer support the occupation. They're just being practical; they know Bush's plan won't work. As Nir Rosen says, “Iraq has become Somalia”.

TV News: Pimping for the Pentagon!

By Reggie | TVNewslies.org

Is it a still a conspiracy theory when the entire plot is exposed on the front page of the Sunday NY Times? Today’s story blows the lid off the myth that television is an any way fair and balanced, in any way trustworthy, and in any way real news.

Most Americans will never see the NY Times story because the TV news networks will not expose their own lies on their own news programs. Just imagine CNN, FOX News or NBC, ABC or CBS featuring this headline:

Behind Military Analysts, the Pentagon’s Hidden Hand

Courting Officers Tied to Military Contractors

Records and interviews show how the Bush administration has used its control over access and information in an effort to transform the analysts into a kind of media Trojan horse — an instrument intended to shape terrorism coverage from inside the major TV and radio networks.

The Darkness that Feeds on the Darkness in Itself

Smoking Mirrors Blog

The chief by product of religion is hypocrisy along with profit and perpetuating the organism. Survival is as much a priority of soulless enterprise as it is in any life form capable of recognizing threat. So it is that you get the obfuscator in chief of the pedophile scandal now operating as Pope and wringing his hands about what a tragedy it was while he was the main force behind its continuance. Religion gives us many terrible ironies and this is only one of them. Yackety yack, don’t look back.

The Voice of the White House - April 18, 2008

TBRNews.org

Washington, D.C., April 17, 2008 : “The one subject never touched upon in the American media is the control of high level American political institutions by Israel and her American supporters. There is no question that Israel knew to the day when the 9/11 attacks were to happen and who, to the man, were involved in them. There is no question that Israeli businessmen, tipped off by their Mossad, rushed to stock markets all over the world to benefit from what they knew was coming.

UN Human Rights Official Wants Investigation Into US Government Role In 9/11
John Bolton: "This is exactly why we voted against the new human rights council."

Steve Watson | Infowars.net

An official in the newly formed UN Human Rights Council has called for a fresh investigation into the events of 9/11 in order to examine the possible role that neoconservatives may have played in the attacks.

The New York Sun picked up the story today, explaining that Richard Falk, a professor of international law emeritus at Princeton University, and an expert on human rights was assigned to a new position within the council on March 26.

His role is to report on human rights in the conflict between Israel and the Palestinian Arabs.

Two days prior to the announcement, Falk appeared on former University of Wisconsin lecturer Kevin Barrett's radio show and spoke of how he is keen to see a fresh investigation into 9/11 in order to address inconsistencies in the official account of what happened.
