Another Smoking Gun? Now CNN Jumps the Gun: On 911 CNN Announced WTC 7 "Has Either Collapsed or is Collapsing" Over an Hour Before it Fell

Chris | Information Liberation

In an amazing redux, new video has been unearthed of a CNN report on the day of 911 in which a CNN anchor announces they have received word that WTC 7 is on fire and "has either collapsed or is collapsing." The problem with this is that WTC 7 is clearly visible behind the anchor.

...this report is doubled in significance seeing as it comes on the heels of a report that BBC announced that WTC 7 had collapsed over 20 minutes before it actually fell. Both of the anchors were told the building had collapsed, the question is who told them?

BBC Has Lost Tapes Of 21st Century's Defining Moment
9/11 coverage gone due to "cock up". Why is this not a world news headline?

Steve Watson | Infowars.net

It has come to light this week that the most pre-eminent broadcasting company in the world has lost the original recordings of its output for the entire day on September 11th 2001, just over five years on, yet no major news agency has even bothered to report the fact.

Despite being currently the biggest story on the internet and in the alternative media, the only place in the mainstream the story has appeared is on a small German news website.

This highlights the fact that the mainstream media is not free to report events. The information it disseminates is strictly controlled and regulated.

The BBC was forced into claiming that the recordings covering the 9/11 attacks have mysteriously vanished in response to fierce criticism over the fact that on the day the news agency reported that World Trade Center Building 7 had collapsed almost 30 minutes before it actually came down.

The BBC in Denial about Pre-empting WTC7 Collapse

The BBC responds to it's pre-emptive reporting of the collapse of WTC7 on 9/11...below is a copy & paste of Richard Porter's article.

Part of the conspiracy?

Richard Porter
27 Feb 07, 05:12 PM

The 9/11 conspiracy theories are pretty well known by now. The BBC addressed them earlier this month with a documentary, The Conspiracy Files, shown within the UK.

Until now, I don't think we've been accused of being part of the conspiracy. But now some websites are using news footage from BBC World on September 11th 2001 to suggest we were actively participating in some sort of attempt to manipulate the audience. As a result, we're now getting lots of emails asking us to clarify our position. So here goes:

1. We're not part of a conspiracy. Nobody told us what to say or do on September 11th. We didn't get told in advance that buildings were going to fall down. We didn't receive press releases or scripts in advance of events happening.

2. In the chaos and confusion of the day, I'm quite sure we said things which turned out to be untrue or inaccurate - but at the time were based on the best information we had. We did what we always did - sourced our reports, used qualifying words like "apparently" or "it's reported" or "we're hearing" and constantly tried to check and double check the information we were receiving.

3. Our reporter Jane Standley was in New York on the day of the attacks, and like everyone who was there, has the events seared on her mind. I've spoken to her today and unsurprisingly, she doesn't remember minute-by-minute what she said or did - like everybody else that day she was trying to make sense of what she was seeing; what she was being told; and what was being told to her by colleagues in London who were monitoring feeds and wires services.

4. We no longer have the original tapes of our 9/11 coverage (for reasons of cock-up, not conspiracy). So if someone has got a recording of our output, I'd love to get hold of it. We do have the tapes for our sister channel News 24, but they don't help clear up the issue one way or another.

5. If we reported the building had collapsed before it had done so, it would have been an error - no more than that. As one of the comments on You Tube says today "so the guy in the studio didn't quite know what was going on? Woah, that totally proves conspiracy... "

After This Fiasco, How Can We Trust Anything They Told Us About 9/11?
The BBC Building 7 farce lends about as much credibility to the official story of 9/11 as weapons of mass destruction do for justifying the invasion of Iraq

Paul Joseph Watson | Prison Planet

The fiasco of a BBC journalist reporting in advance that Building 7 had collapsed as it loomed large behind her strikes at the very root of how the media were complicit in acting as facilitators for the official myth that was manufactured on 9/11. After this debacle, how can we trust anything we were told about September 11?

Who Ordered the Assassination of Dr. David Kelly?

By Michel Chossudovsky | Global Research

The BBC has become embroiled in a yet another set of media distortions regarding the death of British government weapons inspector Dr. David Kelly in July 2003. Kelly died in mysterious circumstances in the woods near his home in Oxfordshire.

Kelly was Britain's foremost expert on biological weapons, with direct access to WMD intelligence on Iraq. In the months leading up to his death, he had become increasingly skeptical regarding Iraq's alleged WMDs. "It was Dr Kelly who exposed claims by President George Bush, Tony Blair and Colin Powell that mobile biological warfare units had been found in Iraq as false." (Independent, 25 July 2003)

According to the Hutton inquiry report:
"Dr Kelly took his own life... [T]he principal cause of death was bleeding from incised wounds to his left wrist which Dr Kelly had inflicted on himself with the knife found beside his body''.

THE SMOKING GUN WTC7, BBC JUMPS THE GUN!!!
9/11 Building 7 Collapse - WTC7 23 Minute Warning - Salomon Brothers Building

RatTube Blog

BBC Error ! Huge smoking gun of pre-knowledge collapse of WTC7 *911blogger.com

“On September 11th 2001, BBC World reported at 4:57pm Eastern Time that the Salomon Brothers Building (more commonly known as WTC7 or World Trade Building 7) had collapsed.

This even made the 5pm EST headlines, what is bizarre is that the building did not actually collapse until 5:20pm EST.

9/11 was unusual enough, without BBC World being able to foretell the destiny of WTC 7.

What is even stranger, is that the women reporter is telling the world that the building had collapsed when you can see it in the background over her left shoulder.

Then at 5:15pm EST, just five minutes before the building did actually collapse, her live connection from New York to London mysteriously fails.

So the question is, on 9/11 how did the BBC learn that WTC7 collapsed 23 minutes before it actually did. More...

Brothers in Arms Again: Bush Faction Arming Al Qaeda to Thwart Iran

Written by Chris Floyd

Here's the upshot of Sy Hersh's latest piece in the New Yorker: George W. Bush is working with, paying, arming and training -- directly and by proxy -- violent terrorist groups in league with Osama bin Laden.

Just as the Bush Faction has replicated every mistake, misdeed and miscalculation of the Vietnam quagmire in Iraq, so too the "grand strategy" of the "War on Terror " replicates the worst strategic mistake of the last quarter of the 20th century: arming and training violent, obscurantist Islamic militias -- in effect, creating (with Saudi and Pakistani partners) the global jihad movement as an effective force -- in the vain and frankly stupid hope that these groups could be manipulated into serving American policy and then safely set aside where their usefulness was through. “9/11: The Conspiracy Files,” The BBC Joins the Ranks of the Untrustworthy United States Media

More than five years after the disaster of September 11, 2001, England’s BBC stepped into the ring of media outlets airing programs about the tragedy that is now referred to as “9/11” on February 18, 2007. The program, entitled “9/11: The Conspiracy Files,” took the time to interview some well-known Americans on both sides of the 9/11 argument. The hour-long program looked as if it might reveal something worthwhile, for about nine minutes. Guests like the outspoken Alex Jones, 911 Scholars for Truth Co-Founder Dr. Jim Fetzer, and Loose Change producer Dylan Avery actually got to make several excellent points before the real conspiracy was revealed. US funds terror groups to sow chaos in Iran

By William Lowther in Washington DC and Colin Freeman, Sunday Telegraph

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's regime is accused of repressing minority rights and culture
America is secretly funding militant ethnic separatist groups in Iran in an attempt to pile pressure on the Islamic regime to give up its nuclear programme.

In a move that reflects Washington's growing concern with the failure of diplomatic initiatives, CIA officials are understood to be helping opposition militias among the numerous ethnic minority groups clustered in Iran's border regions.

The operations are controversial because they involve dealing with movements that resort to terrorist methods in pursuit of their grievances against the Iranian regime.

In the past year there has been a wave of unrest in ethnic minority border areas of Iran, with bombing and assassination campaigns against soldiers and government officials. More...

Straying From the Script
A U.S. briefer overstates Iran's meddling in Iraq, setting off a Washington tempest.

By Michael Isikoff and Mark Hosenball | Newsweek

An anonymous U.S. official, assigned to provide a recent “background” briefing to the news media in Baghdad, strayed from his script and overstated evidence linking Iranian leaders to weapons found in Iraq, according to four U.S. intelligence officials familiar with the matter.

The White House is still trying to recover from the stumble, which happened during a much- anticipated Feb. 11 briefing. U.S. officials had hoped to use the event to ratchet up pressure on the Tehran regime. But instead of focusing public and congressional attention on the role of Iranian government agents in stoking violence in Iraq, the briefing wound up raising new questions about whether the Bush administration is hyping intelligence about Iran in much the same way it did about Saddam Hussein’s regime in Iraq four years ago.

The briefing has also inadvertently called attention to what may be an even more serious problem: the limits of U.S. intelligence in deciphering Iranian government actions. More...

You surge, we’re off
Tony Blair sketches out Britain's exit from Iraq

From Economist.com

Bas.jpgIt came as little surprise. On Wednesday February 21st Britain’s prime minister, Tony Blair, made his weekly appearance in Parliament and said that 1,600 of the 7,100 British soldiers still serving in Iraq would start leaving in the next few months. More may follow soon after that. Despite ongoing violence, it had become clear that gradual British withdrawal would start soon.

For months defence officials in Britain had said that Iraqi troops were growing capable of running the four provinces of southern Iraq which were put under British control after the invasion in 2003. Domestic British politics is a factor too. Mr Blair leaves office this year, probably in the summer. He and his presumed successor, Gordon Brown, the finance minister, are keen to show an exit schedule from a war that has proved deeply unpopular with voters.

US's smoking gun on Iran misfires

By Gareth Porter | Asia Times Online

WASHINGTON - The first major effort by the administration of US President George W Bush to substantiate its case that the Iranian government has been providing weapons to Iraqi Shi'ites who oppose the occupation undermines the administration's political line by showing that it has been unable to find any real evidence of an Iranian government role.

Contradicting recent claims by both Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Secretary of Defense Robert Gates that US intelligence had proof of Iranian government responsibility for the supply of such weapons, the unnamed officials who briefed the media on Sunday admitted that the claim is merely "an inference" rather than based on a trail of evidence.

Iran 81mm Mortar Story: Twists, Turns, and Eating Crow

Rivero takes note of spelling inconsistencies, errors, and awful fishy graphic and design details on the supposed death merchant page (see his post "THE "IRANIAN" 81MM MORTAR WEB PAGE IS A FAKE!" on the WRH site). Moreover, the “phone numbers on the contact page are all 7 digit numbers. But in July of 2005, Iran switched over to an 8-digit phone system,” Rivero explains. Bush administration concocts a “dossier” for war against Iran

The Bush administration stepped up its propaganda war against Iran with a press briefing in Baghdad on Sunday, setting out claims that the Iranian regime is supplying arms to anti-US militias in Iraq. While the “dossier” fails to prove a case against Tehran, its release demonstrates that the White House is intent on manufacturing a justification for a military confrontation with Iran.

Neocon Iranian Mortar Ruse Fizzles

KurtNimmo.com

“America today blamed Iran for the deaths of 170 US troops inside Iraq, accusing Teheran of supplying insurgents with increasingly sophisticated bombs,” reports the neocon-infested UK Telegraph, a trusty propaganda tool.

“Senior defense officials in Baghdad said that Iranian-supplied “explosively formed projectiles” were frequently being used against coalition forces” and “the ‘highest levels’ of Iran’s regime were responsible for giving them to Shia militias in Iraq.”

Although the Telegraph does not mention what particular Shi’a group would use the purported Iranian “explosively formed projectiles” against American troops, we must assume they are making reference to Muqtada al-Sadr’s Mahdi army. In general, Shi’a militias are too busy killing Sunnis, and vice versa, although late last month the killing of five American soldiers at a supposedly secure U.S. facility in Karbala was blamed on “Iranian intelligence agents in conjunction with Iraq’s Shiite Mahdi Army militia,” according to the Examiner. For some unexplained reason these militant Shi’ites decided to dump the bodies of their victims in the town of Mahawil, a predominantly Sunni area. More...

US claims Iranian bombs have killed 170 Iraq coalition troops; Newsweek: Unlikely to convince doubters

Exporting Death And Violence To The Four Corners Of The Earth

Lagauche.com

During the Gulf War, the U.S. public saw a video clip that was repeated many times. In it, a U.S. helicopter pilot was about ready to shoot an Iraqi with a missile. It was nighttime, but the pilot had night vision equipment and, as he was about to push the button to annihilate the Iraqi soldier, who could not see his adversary, the pilot exclaimed, "Say hello to Allah!" Then, the video shows an explosion. The "Say hello to Allah" statement became standard fare in America’s psyche.

No one complained about broadcasting the event, yet it is improbable that any TV outlet would have broadcast a foreign soldier stating "Say hello to Jesus!" if the roles were reversed. That would have been considered in bad taste.

On September 12, 2001, George Bush declared the United States was about to embark on a "crusade" against terrorism. Many people mentioned to him that the new enemies were mostly of the Islamic faith and that American Moslems and millions of followers of Islam from around the world who decry terrorism were highly offended at the choice of the word "crusade" to designate a future war. He had to be told that a "crusade" is indicative of a holocaust against Moslems.

Shortly after, Bush retracted the word and said he had nothing against Islam or the followers of the religion. The retraction was hollow. More...

Evidence Grows That White House Planned To Release Cooked Intel On Iran

Brzezinski alluded to the potential for the Bush administration to manufacture a false flag Gulf of Tonkin type incident in describing a "plausible scenario for a military collision with Iran," which would revolve around "some provocation in Iraq or a terrorist act in the US blamed on Iran, culminating in a ‘defensive’ US military action against Iran that plunges a lonely America into a spreading and deepening quagmire eventually ranging across Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan.”

Who Are The Real Terrorists In Iraq?
  • Clear Evidence British special forces are recruiting, training terrorists to heighten ethnic tensions
  • Elite SAS wing with bloody past operates with immunity, provides advanced explosives
  • Some attacks being blamed on Iranians
Steve Watson | Infowars.net

An article in the Sunday Telegraph this weekend pointed towards evidence that an secretive and elite unit of the British army is actively engaged in recruiting and training Iraqi insurgents and terrorists as double agents.

This confirms what many have speculated for a long time, that Britain and the US are deeply involved in bombings and attacks inside Iraq which are subsequently attributed either to Sunni insurgents or shadowy terrorist cells such as "Al Qaeda in Iraq".

The Telegraph article states:

Deep inside the heart of the "Green Zone", the heavily fortified administrative compound in Baghdad, lies one of the most carefully guarded secrets of the war in Iraq. It is a cell from a small and anonymous British Army unit that goes by the deliberately meaningless name of the Joint Support Group (JSG), and it has proved to be one of the Coalition's most effective and deadly weapons in the fight against terror. While at Davos, Rupert Murdoch discusses the rise of the Internet and digital media, but tells us he used News Corp. to manipulate the news.
Asked if his News Corp. managed to shape the agenda on the war in Iraq, Murdoch said: "No, I don't think so. We tried." Asked by Rose for further comment, he said: "We basically supported the Bush policy in the Middle East…but we have been very critical of his execution."

BBC Speculates Blair in Middle of "Watergate-style cover-up"

PrisonPlanet.com

By Nick Assinder for the BBC -- It is extraordinary enough that the prime minister has been interviewed for a second time by police in the cash-for-honours investigation. Have the police now moved onto what is, in effect, a separate inquiry into a Watergate-style cover-up, as some are now claiming?

Bush's Trash Talk About Iran

By Robert Dreyfuss | ICHBlog

Since President Bush’s State of the Union address last Tuesday, the White House has manufactured a crisis that pits the United States against Iran. In what looks like the military and diplomatic equivalent of a full court press, Washington has unleashed a barrage of threats, maneuvers and limited military actions that seem calculated to set the United States on a collision course with Iran in Iraq and the Persian Gulf. All in all, it is an exceedingly risky and dangerous gambit.

The Media Cover-up of the Najaf Massacre
Say what you will about the corporate media; they still havn’t lost their appetite for carnage.

By Mike Whitney | ICHBlog

So far, there are 2 things that we can say with certainty about the massacre of the 250 Iraqis outside Najaf on Monday. First, we know that there is no substantiating evidence to support the official version of events. And, second, we know that every media outlet in the United States slavishly provided the government’s version to their readers without fact-checking or providing eyewitness testimony. More...

Time to get serious about Israel
A multi-party committee of MPs is pressing for sanctions over Israel's treatment of the Palestinians.

John Hilary | The Guardian

You know that things are serious when a parliamentary select committee puts out a call for sanctions against another sovereign state. Doubly so when that state is supposed to be one of Britain's key allies in the Middle East. Yet today the House of Commons international development committee is calling on the Labour government to press for sanctions against Israel over its treatment of the Palestinian people. Things must be pretty bad.

Israel moves wall 5km east - into Palestine

WakeUpFromYourSlumber.com

This is for those who naively imagine that israelis want peace...

The only 'peace' israelis want is A Piece of (someone else's) Land.
Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has approved the moving of the separation barrier at least five kilometers eastward from the Green Line in the area of Modi'in Ilit, in order to take in the settlements of Nili and Na'aleh, according to security sources and a brief submitted by the state to the High Court of Justice.

The new route will create two Palestinian enclaves containing about 20,000 people. Nili and Na'aleh together have some 1,500 residents.

Cheney's Handwritten Notes Implicate Bush in Plame Affair

By Jason Leopold and Marc Ash | T r u t h o u t

Copies of handwritten notes by Vice President Dick Cheney, introduced at trial by defense attorneys for former White House staffer I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby, would appear to implicate George W. Bush in the Plame CIA Leak case.

Bush has long maintained that he was unaware of attacks by any member of his administration against [former ambassador Joseph] Wilson. The ex-envoy's stinging rebukes of the administration's use of pre-war Iraq intelligence led Libby and other White House officials to leak Wilson's wife's covert CIA status to reporters in July 2003 in an act of retaliation.

But Cheney's notes, which were introduced into evidence Tuesday during Libby's perjury and obstruction-of-justice trial, call into question the truthfulness of President Bush's vehement denials about his prior knowledge of the attacks against Wilson. The revelation that Bush may have known all along that there was an effort by members of his office to discredit the former ambassador begs the question: Was the president also aware that senior members of his administration compromised Valerie Plame's undercover role with the CIA? Iranians Allegedly Killed Five US Troops?

Hoffmania.com

MSNBC is reporting that Iranian forces gunned down five American troops in Iraq. That's what "intel" is saying.

Really? Pardon my cynicism. There is absolutely no reason for us to NOT believe that this is all a giant setup to start a war with Iran. Every ounce of "evidence" this White House has made every step of the way when it comes to military action in the Middle East was trumped up. Fake. Phoney. Failed to exist.

So this latest "outrage" rings utterly hollow. And unless they suddenly get the urge to use diplomacy instead of military force in Iran, we call bullshit. Complete bullshit. More...

All Eyes On Iran After False Flag Attack In Karbala

WinterPatriot Blog

Unnamed officials from two different US government agencies have told CNN that the Pentagon is looking at possible Iranian ties to a "brazen attack" on a meeting in Karbala which left five American troops dead.

As reported here previously, the attackers wore American combat fatigues, drove black GM Suburbans, carried American weapons and spoke English. The attack was bold and swift, obviously carefully planned and well rehearsed.

According to CNN, Pentagon officials are looking at whether the attack was "carried out by Iranians or Iranian-trained operatives". CNN adds:
Both officials [...] agreed this possibility is being looked at because of the sophistication of the attack and the level of coordination.
Well forgive me for asking, but...

Since when have Iranians or Iranian-trained operatives been known for their "sophistication of attack" or "level of coordination"?

Have Iranians or Iranian-trained operatives ever conducted an attack which was notable for its "sophistication of attack" or its "level of coordination"?

And why am I the only one asking these questions?

The Failure of America as a Moral Force

Paul Craig Roberts

Everyone can see the US buildup of massive air and naval attack forces on Iran’s borders. Fox “News,” the Bush Regime’s main disinformation agency, is busy preparing its viewers for the US attack by whipping up fear and hysteria over Iran.

ICHBlog -- President George W. Bush’s invasion of Iraq is the greatest crime of the 21st century.

Armed with a powerful moral case against Bush, whose lies are responsible for a war that has caused thousands of US casualties and killed vast numbers of Iraqi civilians, Democratic leaders are damning Bush’s war because it did not succeed!

The Bush Regime lied and fabricated “evidence” that was used to deceive Congress, the American people, and the United Nations. The vice president of the United States and the National Security Advisor created public images of mushroom clouds going up over American cities unless Iraq was invaded and Saddam Hussein’s terrible weapons of mass destruction were destroyed.
